The role of a modern CIO

IT chiefs are expected to be more than technologists

A majority of CIOs say their role has transformed–now, success depends more on their leadership abilities than technical knowhow.

That’s according to a survey of 516 CIOs from 12 countries and 24 industries by Oxford Economics and ServiceNow. Respondents were ranked across three levels of maturity, depending on how advanced their adoption of digitizing various work processes.
