A methodological marriage

Companies can benefit by combining agile and DevOps

When it comes to software development, companies are beginning to see the upside to combining agile and DevOps practices. While different in approach, these methods also complement each other well across collaboration, production and delivery cycles.

The trend is still growing. Major companies from Netflix to Microsoft are practicing DevOps—and research found 41 percent of companies currently merge it with agile.

Many executives see marrying the practices as critical to their company’s digital transformation, and the results appear to back that up. By combining the methods, more than half of organizations developed new business growth and another 41 percent increased their operational efficiency.
